So sad as it is true: studies have been saying the same thing for thirty years, offering an image of women and girls that does not take into account the progress in the struggle for equality. In addition, they are underrepresented, and the majority of protagonists are male. Given this scenario, and with the desire to convince both male and female readers that girls are much more interesting (and admirable), the author proposes seven works of different styles and ages, suitable for all ages, that deal with issues of general interest: happiness, loneliness, the right to difference, the search for one's identity...
