Alfonso XIII y Cambó (Alfonso XIII and Cambó) is an approximation to the complex political relations that these two figures (and what they represented, the monarchy and the political Catalan, respectively) arrived to establish throughout the first three decades of century XX. In this book Borja de Riquer analyzes, in the light of new or little known documentation, the unique links that existed between that peculiar monarch and the most daring leader of a movement that was perceived by the Spanish public opinion of the time as a worrying political novelty.
